Saturday, May 25th 2013 was the grand opening of Adelaide’s first Apple Store, located at the new Rundle Place shopping complex, and 3 NextFazer’s went along for their piece of Apple history. We got there about an hour before the opening, lined up and waited. Derek caught the eye of the local news team as he was using his Galaxy S4, yet due to the magic of reporting when he appeared on the news he had morphed into a ‘Apple Fan’.
We are not sure where all the energy came from, but the Apple store employees were well and truly pumped up to sell products for the retail master. They cheered, clapped and jumped around doing their best to develop some atmosphere.
After a patient wait of 20 minutes or so we made it to the front of the line, to be greeted by a swarm of high-fives and a free commemorative apple t-shirt, which was actually made in the US!
